Sanjeong-dong main hall was the first main hall of the Archdiocese of Gwangju, founded on May 8, 1897, and was also introduced to the Reggio Mariae of Korea. The monument for the introduction was erected, and on May 23, 1998, the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Korean Reggio Mariae Memorial Hall in Mokpo Mission was held with the collection of Archbishop Yoon Gong-hee on May 23, 1998.
