★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 독립기념관에서 멀지 않은 목천고등학교 내에 앉아있는 소녀상. 비교적 세운지가 좀 되어 기존의 보편적인 형태와는 조금 다름. 평일에는 수업중이라 들어가기가 좀 그렇지만, 주말에는 보고 오기 좋음. 약간 소박하게 만들어진 이미지지만, 교육기관 내에 있다는 것만으로도 충분한 의미가 있어보임. 언제나 볼때마가 먹먹해지는 소녀상.

평화의 소녀상(平和의 少女像, 영어: Statue of Peace) 혹은 위안부 상(일본어: 慰安婦像 いあんふぞう 이안후조[*])는 일본군 위안부 피해자들을 기리고 올바른 역사 인식을 확립하기 위한 예술 조형물(동상)이다. 평화비(平和碑)라는 이름으로 불리기도 한다. 상의 모양은 의자에 앉아있는 모양과 서있는 모양이 대표적이다.
이런 측면에서 보면, 독일의 사과와 반성의 방식은 존중받을 만하다.
