★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Now it has been my second time I went there all the way from Germany. According to my own experience and that of my acquaintances, Mihwangsa undoubtly is one of the best Templestay places of Korea. Low prices, Excellent temple food, stunning nature (the Dalma mountain), and most importantly, almost constantly existing silence. The personal was very friendly and kind-hearted; When I asked about the Haenam village, they took me with their car to the traditional flea market and showed me the place around. I strongly recommend this place to anybody who is interested to have a whole new experience in Korea, but also to those who just want to detox from the urban life and have a bit of rest. Next time I go to Korea, I plan to go there again. Love this place! -Kisses from Berlin

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gorgeous views, fantastic hiking trails with a variety of newly planted trees. They are still saplings but this is going to be an incredibly diverse forest in 5-10 years. Watch out for ticks though, the are is natural and there are insects (including ticks) everywhere.
