★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I got a haircut and blonde highlights done at MATY's Hair. Oscar did a wonderful job with my hair, I couldn't be happier with the result. I will most certainly return to Oscar's hair salon whenever I'm in Seoul and would highly recommend his salon to anyone looking for a very friendly, incredibly skilled hairdresser.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I wish I had found Oscar sooner! Oscar was recommended to me by a close friend whom also shares “haircut/color/change anxiety” ?. I have long hair and took the jump to cut a fringe…the results are fantastic! Oscar takes into consideration face shape, hair texture and everything else a hairstylist should when cutting my fringe. Although anxious in the chair, I’m thrilled with the results! You’re in trustworthy hands when you go to MATY’S!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hair designer Oscar(Chief hair designer of the hair salon) is one of the best hair designers in Seoul.
First, he is very good at English and he had worked as a hair designer in the UK.
So, he knows how to design the hair no matter what race the customers are.
He makes customers feel comfortable.
I am confident (or pretty sure) that you will be satisfied by visiting the salon.

Without much explanation Oscar immediately knew how I wanted my haircut and he exceeded my expectations by far. He speaks very good English and is very interested in his customers. I felt very comfortable in his salon and will definitely come again. I can only recommend Oscar and his team to everyone.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’ve been regularly visiting Oscar for almost three years whilst living in Korea and I cannot recommend him enough. He’s excellent at understanding foreign hair and foreign styles and he speaks great English, too. I like to get a ‘grown-out’ highlight look, however balayage isn’t very popular amongst Koreans so I was apprehensive about asking for this kind of hairstyle. But Oscar is so thorough and knowledgeable that it turns out amazing every time.
100% would recommend Oscar to my Korean and foreign friends every time.

He suggested my cut and style and I love the result. I got a hair wash/shampooed, cut and detailed styling for an amazing price! Thanks Oscar a great hair cut and for the tips on how to repair and rejuvenate my hair!! :D

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I just stumbled upon MATYs hair salon, as I am currently just visiting from the states. I’m glad I did as the service here was unmatched! From the moment I walked in, Eric (who seemed to be an apprentice) as he treated me with kindness and respect, offering to take my jacket and bags.. i was then greeted by Oscar (hair stylist/barber). Eric then washed my hair as well as gave me a great, relaxing head massage! During my haircut, Oscar was super friendly in his conversation.. not to mention the haircut itself was perfect! I never have too much of a preference aside from “make it look nice,” which I’m sure could be difficult sometimes but he went with it and gave me a casual, yet beautiful cut just as I asked! We went on to talk his experience in the UK and Korea, things to do in the area, and about hair dye colors.. I recommend this shop to anyone as they are English speaking and the interior is relaxing and chic. Thank you Eric and Oscar as I will definitely be back for another cut and hair color!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After two weeks in quarantine and one week under the sun in Jeju my roots needed badly to be dyed. I was looking for a salon where the hairdressers were able to speak English, given that I don’t speak Korean and I decided to write to Oscar asking for an appointment. Perfect choice because he answered me in about an hour and he was able to schedule an appointment for me the day after I contacted him. After arriving at the salon, I decided not only to retouch my roots, but dye all of my hair a different colour. He and his assistant were super friendly and did an amazing job with my hair. Highly recommend MATY’s Hair if you need a hairdresser not only with perfect English, but also high skills and competitive prices. Definitely coming back!
