★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 처음부터 좀 으스스한 기운이 감돌았다. 아마도 조명때문이리라 인접해 있는 인가도 사람이 살고 있는지 모를정도로 인기척이 없다. 개 몇마리만 보이고 그마저 어느날 어미가 새끼를 물어죽이는 끔찍한 광경을 목격해야만 했다. 도대체 왜 죽였는지 아직도 물려죽은 강아지기억이 생생하다. 불쌍하고 안타까운 생각들... 요즘 우리의 시골풍경이 다 그렇듯이 온통 회색빛이다. 청량리역 주변에서 느꼈던 그 기운... 이젠 그저 떠올리기 싫은 내 많은 기억 중 하나가 되었지만...

Only a few dogs were seen and one day they had to witness the terrible sight of mother killing her child. I still remember why the dog was dead and the puppy memory is vivid. Poor and sad thoughts ... It is all gray as it is in our rural landscape these days. It was one of my many memories that I did not want to think about ...
