I have been learning Korean with the academy for about 3 years already and must say I really enjoy studying. The teacher who has been giving me private classes is not only well-qualified but also a very supportive, friendly, encouraging and caring person. While teaching the language she also helps me understand and appreciate Korean culture and learn more about the country. I totally recommend Easy Korean Academy

The class size is small, and I have gotten to meet friends from all over the world! Compared to other academies, the price is very reasonable. Most importantly, the lessons are practical and helpful. The material is challenging, but my teacher is awesome and helps my class through it effectively. I hope to continue the weekend lessons for as long as I can and would recommend the academy to anyone else looking to learn Korean.

Our teacher was very good at teaching Korean rather than just covering content. What? Some teachers think that a lesson plan is just pages 1 to 5, then 6 to10, 11 to 15 and so on... ; without any concern if you learned anything. Our teacher went out of her way to make sure we were learning the grammar and vocabulary by forcing us to use it a lot during class. You might go to a Korean class where the teacher just talks the whole time and all you do is write notes. It’s great that the Korean teacher is awesome at Korean; but it really doesn’t help you. Not here. The teachers at Easy Korean Academy (and I’m not a bot), really go out of their way to teach you Korean. The supplementary material and activities our teacher provided were excellent and the Easy Korean book (again, not a bot) is perfectly structured. The facilities and classrooms are excellent. The location is also good. Coming from near Children’s Grand Park; it takes about 35 minutes by subway. 5 stars!
J	JD Crouch on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was the best experience I've ever had in a classroom. 장정애 선생님 was great at explaining difficult grammar concepts and constantly made the class fun. I was really worried when I first joined, but I looked forward to class every day. It's a lot of work though. 장 선생님 puts a lot of effort into her students' success and expects a lot from us, too. She made me want to work really hard. But of course life can get in the way of studying sometimes, and she was very understanding about completing homework late. She always made herself available for us when we needed extra assistance. I'm excited to continue going to the school and improving my Korean!

I study in private lessons, so I can only speak from my experience in that. The textbook is very modern and useful for daily life, unlike a lot of textbooks that use outdated expressions. It’s also great to be able to have curriculum that’s tailored to my specific needs, not just a copy/paste method of teaching. I highly recommend coming here if you want to see a huge jump in your Korean language skills, and moreso recommend to study with 이송선생님! She’s extremely patient and takes the time to make sure you understand the lesson, and provides custom homework to further practice where you struggle the most. Thank you so much Easy Korean Academy and 이송선생님 (Teacher Song Lee)!

The class sizes are smaller, which gives plenty of speaking opportunities. The curriculum provides frequently used grammar points and relevant vocabulary. The syllabus is well organised, as they use their own books, which are supplemented extensively -by the well trained and professional teachers (all of which seem to be multilingual). Each module, is completed with a quiz. And you write a final exam at the end of the month to determine whether or not you are ready to move up to a higher level. The teachers provide you with a report card, which gives you your progress so far and what you should work on. I have thus far completed level 1 & 2 and already see a huge jump in my ability to speak, write, and listen. The teachers do a great job to hone these skills into you, through intensive repetition, in a fully immersive environment. If you're serious about learning Korean in a structured and enjoyable way, I highly recommend joining!

Teachers here are experienced and encouraging. For me, being able to hold a conversation is the most important thing to learn a foreign language. Unlike Korean course in Universities, classes here are conducted in small groups. I have a lot of chances to practice speaking and also work on accent improvement. Wonderful experience studying there!
