It is a research institute that researches the standards of science and technology in Korea.
Unlike other research centers in the Daedeok Research Complex, I think it is a research institute with rich green space around the research center and greenery as if doing research activities in the mountains.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 이름에서 알 수 있는 것과 같이 대한민국의 표준을 지정하고 유지 및 관리하는 국가 기관이다. 보통 표과원 또는 영어 약어를 따서 KRISS(크리스 - Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science)라고 부른다. 우선 여러 연구동이 있고 각 연구동에서 취급하는 품목은 다 다르다. 꼭 부지가 넓은 대학교 느낌이 난다고 해야 할 것 같다. 게다가 녹지공간도 많고 입구 바로 옆에는 연못 및 대나무를 심어놓은 쉼터도 마련되어있다.
보통 산업체에서 근무하며 calibration(검, 교정)을 담당한다면 이곳을 방문할 혹은 이곳에서 교육을 받을 기회가 있을 수도 있다.
이곳은 대전기차역에서 택시로 보통 20분 정도 걸리니 참고하면 될 것 같다.
As the name implies, it is a national agency that specifies, maintains and manages the standards of the Republic of Korea. It is commonly referred to as the KRISS (Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science). First, there are several research centers, and the items handled by each research center are different. It seems to me that the site has a wide university feel. In addition, there is a lot of green space, and beside the entrance there is also a pond and bamboo shelter.
If you are working in industry and are in charge of calibration, you may have a chance to visit here or get an education here.
It will take about 20 minutes by taxi from Daejeon Railway Station.
