이름이 약간 생소하시다고요? 우리나라의 본격적인 우주시대 서막을 알린 나로호를 연구한 곳이 바로 한국항공우주연구원(이하 항우연)인데요. 저는 이번 방학기간 동안 학교 인턴십 프로그램 겸 아르바이트생으로 이곳에서 일하게 되었습니다. 연구원이라는 곳을 처음 접해보는데다 우주에 대한 관심이 많았기 때문에 일을 시작하기 전부터 기대가 많았습니다.
대전광역시 유성구 과학 연구단지 안에 위치한 항우연은 1989년에 설립되었는데요. 우주선을 연구하는 것이 얼마 되지 않았을 것이라 여겼던 것과 달리 25년간 우주선뿐만 아니라 항공우주와 관련된 분야에 대한 연구를 계속해오고 있답니다.
항우연은 미래 항공우주 핵심기반기술을 개발하고 다양한 분야와의 융복합 기술을 개발하여 미래 항공우주시대를 열어가고 있는데요. 우주선뿐만 아니라 다른 분야에 대한 연구와 업적도 많이 가지고 있답니다
I would like to introduce the Korea Aerospace Research Institute.
You're a little new to your name? The Korea Aerospace Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as Hang Woo Yeon) researched Naro Lake, which announced the beginning of Korea's full space age. I have been working here as a school internship program and part-time student during this vacation. Since I was new to the place of researcher and had a lot of interest in the universe, I had high expectations even before I started working.

Hang Woo Yeon, located in the Science Research Complex of Yuseong-gu, Daejeon, was founded in 1989. Contrary to what I thought it might have been a short time ago, I have been researching not only spacecraft, but also aerospace.
Hyeonwoo Yeon is developing the core technology of future aerospace and developing a convergence technology with various fields to open a future aerospace era. He has a lot of research and achievements in space as well as spacecraft.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went here with the school as a field trip. Not sure if it is opened to the public. Pretty eye opening experience of South Korea's aerospace research. I could not take every part of the institute as some parts do not allow photo taking. Cool satellites though.
