M	Matthew Campbell on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The check in procedure is ridiculous. Everyone who was checking if for the day, had to check in at 3pm. You had to take a number and wait your turn. That meant 200-300 people all waiting in the lobby to check in, at the same time. What an annoying experience this was. I don't recommend, unless you are coming late to check in. The rooms were ok and the outdoor BBQ was very nice. A great atmosphere. But, waiting in that line for more than 40 minutes to check in, is not worth it.

Water pressure that is so low treacle runs faster. Refrigerator/freezer set to warm, and doors on said item do not seal closed - ie. bump the fridge and the doors swing open. But worse of all, suicidal flooring when wet, especially in the bathroom/shower. It takes real skill not to slip over and break your neck. Nice views though.

Looks like the equipments in the kitchen, bathroom, bed and linen or any of the facilities have not been replaced since the time the resort was built. The lobby looks clean and somewhat new but they probably only renovated that part of the building. The view was pretty nice but that's about the only good thing about this place.

However, it has all the convenient amenities you might need. Easily accessible from downtown and tourist sites in the city. The bed frames and mattresses are very low quality (see photo below)
J	John R on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First thing first, this resort, as with all Kensington branded resorts, is a budget accommodation. Keep that in mind and you will not be disappointed! The rooms are clean, big, and have a medium sized fridge (with freezer!) and a 2 burner gas range. The matresses, at least in our room, were... poor. Not horrendous, but definitely worthy of criticism. The location is good. You are right near Bomun lake. You are not guaranteed a view from your room, but a short walk or drive to the lake is not too much to ask for a room that is 1/2 to 1/3 the price of the lakefront hotels and resorts. There is a well-stocked convenience store in thr basement and plenty of good restaurants within a ten minute walk. All in all, I was very pleased with the Kensington in Gyeongju. In my experience, you really can't go wrong with any of the Kensington places. Just keep in mind that they are budget accommodations! Don't expect 5 (or even 4) star amenities. Do expect clean rooms, competent service, and good prices!
