★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 한국과학기술원(KAIST) 생명화학공학과는 전통 화학공학 원리와 새롭게 발전하고 있는 화학공학 원리들을 적용해 생명과학과 화학공학의 주요 과제들을 해결해나가고자 한다. 화학공학자는 다양한 제품을 제조하는 화학 공정을 설계한다. 우리는 관심영역을 다양한 분야로 넓혀, 에너지 위기에서 환경보호, 일상생활의 개선에 이르기까지 현 사회 이슈들을 다룰 수 있는 생명화학공학자들을 양성하고자 한다.
 The Department of Biochemical Engineering, Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) seeks to solve the major problems of life science and chemical engineering by applying traditional chemical engineering principles and newly developing chemical engineering principles. Chemical engineers design chemical processes to manufacture a variety of products. We aim to cultivate biochemical engineers who can deal with current social issues ranging from energy crisis to environmental protection and improvement of daily life by expanding the area of interest to various fields.
