★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dad was the highest ranking noncom in South Korea. So our house was here on the base. Also since they didn't want to chance screwing up the Chiefs new boy, Mama was sent to Seoul 6 weeks before I was even due. To save the USA some cash I decided to ride with her.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small base in Jinhae with a very small commisary, and the Exchange is pretty much a shoppette ,no clothes, shoes etc, but plenty alcohol options. You can park your car close to the gate and walk to one of the most beautiful Cherry Blossoms I've seen in South Korea just a few steps away.
The NGIS is very small, but comfortable, my room had a full kitchen, queen bed, sofa bed and small dinning table for $85.00. I did not have a reservation but was lucky to land a room. I would not suggest doing this as the lodging is very small. The front desk staff is very helpful and pleasant, they offered a lot of information about the area, places to eat and activities available.
They have many flyers about self guiding tours you can do while visiting Jinhae and Busan.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Spent 3 years guarding the gates staring at trees as a MA. Come back near every year as I got out Navy will full seabag and Married a local. Love to take tours on base and show my kids where xyz happened. Best and worst 3 years of my life here. Miss you Mr. Ku.
