General Shin Sung-gyeom is the founder of the Goryeo dynasty. The ruins of General Shin Sung-gyeom in Jimyo-dong, Dong-gu, Daegu It was built to commemorate the general. In the Battle of Gongsan (now Daegu) against Gyeon Hwon of the Later Baekje, he frantically dies while taking refuge in Wang Geon. The mountain behind the ruins is called 'Wangsan' because it was said that Wang Geon was saved in the battle at the time. And for Palgongsan (八空山), the most likely story is the story of the eight public servants who sacrificed their lives for Goryeo in the battle of Gongsan (空山) at that time. The original name was 'Gongsan', but 8 people including Shin Sung-gyeom, Wang Geon's brother-in-law, Kim Rak, Kim Chul, Jeon Gap, Jeon Ui-gap, Jeon Rak, Howonbo, and Son Haeng died fighting to escape Wang Geon, and the name Palgongsan was given. It is a serene and quiet historical site. There is a general tomb and a shrine, but the shrine is not accessible and I came to see it for a while in front of the general tomb. It's not wide.
