★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 동두천의 시민공원에 앉아있는 보편적인 형태의 소녀상. 많은 사람들이 다니는 유동인구가 많은 곳에 설치가 되어 있으며, 일반적인 형태를 띠고 있음. 우리의 아픈역사 중하나를 보여주는 조형물이며, 언제나 볼때마다 먹먹해 지는 느낌을 줌. 지나가는 길에 잠깐 만나보는 것도 좋을 듯 함.

평화의 소녀상(平和의 少女像, 영어: Statue of Peace) 혹은 위안부 상(일본어: 慰安婦像 いあんふぞう 이안후조[*])는 일본군 위안부 피해자들을 기리고 올바른 역사 인식을 확립하기 위한 예술 조형물(동상)이다. 평화비(平和碑)라는 이름으로 불리기도 한다. 상의 모양은 의자에 앉아있는 모양과 서있는 모양이 대표적이다.
이런 측면에서 보면, 독일의 사과와 반성의 방식은 존중받을 만하다.
