Bibimbap for 15000 a head is excellent. Great options if you are vegetarian or vegan. Coffee was delicious. Staff don’t speak much English but very friendly and welcoming. Helped us book taxi back to Sokcho too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice vegetarian restaurant just outside of Sokcho. They’re either marinated in sesame oil or served banchan style, some marinated or fermented in vinegar and medicine. Doesn’t taste mediciney much, most are salty/sweet tasting. Come for the interesting experience of tastes you don’t expect. You’ll leave with the pleasant feeling of a full meal that doesn’t make you bloated.
If you must have meat, I believe I saw bulgogi as a possibly addition.
Shop sells dried produce too. Sorry. I can’t explain what you would do with dried leaves and tree barks. I’m pretty sure those are for cooking and not for decoration. I guess some of you may figure it out better than I did.
