An unassuming eatery nestled between the shopping streets of BIFF square area and Yongdusan Park. For an Asian who grew up with soups and porridge, the abalone porridge is nicely flavoured and goes well with the seaweed and anchovies side dish. Was a little sceptical about the sea urchin soup but turned out very much better than expected and we lapped it up with much gusto. Highly recommended if you want a light meal that reminds you of home and comfort food away from the usual Korean BBQ fare.

In A Nutshell: -Jejuga was quite a find! -My wife & I walked by & noticed a bunch of people enjoying fresh abalone porridge. -It's a very small restaurant. -We ordered their abalone porridge & the sea urchin bibimbap. -Both dishes were off the charts good! -You get a set of side dishes which include: fresh cabbage kimchi, radish kimchi, kimchi squid, anchovies & a hot bowl of seaweed soup. Overall, I highly recommend coming to eat here if you enjoy seafood + porridge!

I had a ear shell congee, it was convinience to use credit card. I felt the price is little bit high, but taste was so nice.

Abalone porridge was good, but the sea urchin soup was EXCELLENT.

Pricey but worth it for good quality abalones! Abalone porridge as well as grilled abalone with butter was soooo gooooood

We tried the abalone congee and “grill abalone”. The congee is somewhat average, the rice is not as “dissolved” as we like. The “grill abalone” is more like steamed, but it’s really delicious, cooked just right.

Abalone porridge is overrated. Felt that it was rather tasteless, unless you have the porridge with the anchovies and seaweed. Abalone was also rather tasteless. The one in the picture is the “special” one which I just think it’s the bigger version of the normal abalone porridge. I think the porridge shop at Busan Train Station is cheaper and serves better porridge. Overall this shop is not bad, but not good enough for another return.
