★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 요양원이라는 곳에 대해 부정적으로만 여겼지만 어머니를 요양원에 모실수 밖에 없게 되어 요양원 고르기위해 여러 사이트에서 평가를 자세히 살피고 전화도 하고 불시에 방문도 하면서 자세히 관찰했지만 딱 여기다라는 생각이 드는 곳은 찾기 힘들었습니다. 그러다가 보아스의집 장흥의 이 요양원이 발견되었습니다. 서울에서 멀것 같았지만 가까웠고 시설, 대중교통편, 그리고 일하시는 분들의 따뜻함이 있었고 그 무엇보다도 직접 와서 살펴봤을 때 이곳 어르신들은 다른 요양원들에서 좀 비관적으로 느껴지던 그런 모습, 어르신들의 축 쳐진 모습, 이 발견되지 않았습니다. 한가지 단점은 마당이나 정원이 없어 산책할 곳은 딱히 없다는 점입니다. 옥상 외에는.
그러나 대신 층마다 넓고 채광 좋은 거실이 있습니다.
어머니가 이곳에 오시고 오히려 정신도 또렷해지시고 우울한 모습도 사라져서 보아스의집에 감사드리고 있습니다.
