★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 모던하면서도 결코 색깔을 잃지 않은 특별한 이자카야입니다. 대부분의 요리메뉴가 맛있습니다. 요즘 대구 다른 이자카야와 같이 저렴하며 메뉴가 많은 편은 아닙니다. 바 자리도 있고, 친구들과 함께 가볍게 식사 할 수 있는 일반 테이블도 준비되어 있습니다.
This is a special izakaya that is modern yet never loses its color. Most of the dishes are delicious. These days, it is inexpensive like other izakaya in Daegu and does not have many menus. There is also a bar seat, and there are also regular tables where you can enjoy a light meal with friends.

Anything on the menu is fine. The atmosphere is also good. Both of the bosses are completely kind and good. Only the amount of sashimi is a bit disappointing. It's good though.

And his skill with Japanese cuisine is matched by his mastery of Italian food. The mackerel pasta is shockingly delicious. His hospitality and creativity make Ito a necessary and frequent stop. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's difficult to describe how incredible the food is here, without sounding like an overexcited child prone to exaggeration. But the reality is, dining at Izakaya Ito is a special experience and one that you won't forget easily. Izakaya Ito should be on any serious foodie's destination list.
Jason, the owner and man who makes the magic happen in the kitchen is something of a wizard. Training in Italy to become a Italian chef, he returned to Daegu, and instead of making Napoli pizzas full time, he has followed his passion for Japanese culture and cuisine.
A typically small and intimate Izakaya, your best bet is to grab a seat at the bar and chat with Jason, who will recommend to you the freshest seafood that he's been able to source. You can watch him at work as he deftly creates beautiful sashimi plates, pastas, soups and more. All the food is great (I ate here 6 times in one week) but it's the sashimi platter that really stands out. I thought I understood sashimi before, but it was here that I really learnt how delicate, how fine and how perfect the flavours can be when in the hands of someone like Jason.
There is a decent sake selection on hand, and a few beers, as well as the delicious homemade Suntory Highball.
I really hope to visit here again one day, and hope that Jason gets the recognition he deserves for his serious talent.
