만안구로 가는 버스와 판교로 가는 버스, 과천, 고천(의왕)으로 가는 버스를 동시에 환승할 수 있는 사통팔달의 교통의 요충지지요.
인덕원이라는 말이 과거 고려시대의 원에서 비롯된 것으로 알고 있으며, 교통의 요충지이자 숙박시설이 좀 있는 곳인데 그 말이 실제로 맞습니다. 지금도 인덕원역 주변에는 모텔이 조금 있지요.

인덕원은 경기도 의왕시·안양시·과천시의 분기점으로 교통망이 이리저리 사방으로 통한다. 조선 중기까지 원(院)이 설치되어 여행자들의 숙소로 이용되었으며, 원이 폐지된 조선 후기부터는 자연적으로 가겟집들이 생겨나 주막거리로 불릴 만큼 이용자가 많았다. 오래 전부터 교통의 요지였음을 알 수 있다. 원(院)이란, 조선시대 공무 여행자들의 숙박시설로 일반 여행자들이 이용하는 가겟집과 함께 장거리 여행자들에게는 필수적인 편의시설이다.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 지하철 배차간격이 출퇴근 시간에도 간격이 너무 기네요. 선바위 출발하는 열차가 다음 열차인데 경기도민이라 돈은 더 받으면서 배차간격은 2배로 길게 하니 돈 있으면 서울에 살아야지 안그러면 곤은 돈데로 내고 시간은 시간데로 버리는 인생을 살게 됩니다.
