It is a regular restaurant where my parents go to Jirisan, Gwangyang Plum Festival, and Hwaeomsa for decades. The food shown in the photo is a deodeok-grilled set meal with a lot of side dishes, and there are more than 30 kinds of side dishes. When you first enter, you will see pajeon with a welcome appetizer, and it is Jirisan with miso soup with crab and Gurye-ni, so you will find various herbs available. Some customers come from afar because of the boss's cooking skills, but there are a lot of local customers in Gurye, so there are a lot of customers during lunch and dinner. Other nearby restaurants are mostly open only during lunch time, but the earthenware restaurant is also open for dinner. Even though I ordered a simple 7,000 won bean sprout soup for dinner, there are quite a lot of side dishes. Anyway, when I come to Gurye, I usually eat here. Mushroom hot pot, jaecheop haejangguk, and acorn jelly are also delicious. If you don't like elementary school, I recommend the mushroom hot pot. Wild pine mushrooms, neungi mushrooms, and three mushrooms are all in it. It is my parent's favorite and long time visiting small restaurant, but very good and various vegetables from mountain and local farmed. My parent are visiting anually here when they are traveling mountain and Southern part of Korea. They are serving more than 30 side dishes. We ordered for lunch Deodeok-gui set meal. And for dinner bean sprouts soup with rice which is only 7000 won. Even this simple menu they are serving lots of side dishes. They are very popular among travelers from far away (Yes, We are from Seoul) and also local clients. It is simply the best restaurant in Gurye area. The very best menu is the stew with naturally grown mushrooms from mountain. Those mushrooms are gormet and very expensive. And you can only taste in Gurye where is near the Jiri san mountain.
