★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 조선 최초의 서양화가, 고희동. 이곳엔 그의 동양화가 주로 전시되어 있지만 기존의 동양화와는 다른 서양화 기법이 가미된 화풍을 발견할 수 있다. 인상파 색채를 동양화로 표현한 듯한 느낌.
그가 설계한 고택을 둘러보는 재미도 있고, 서예와 채색을 체험(hands on)할 수 있는 공간도 있다.
 Hee-dong Ko, the first Western painter of Joseon. His oriental paintings are mainly exhibited here, but you can find a style of painting with Western painting techniques different from those of existing oriental paintings. It feels as if the impressionist colors were expressed in oriental paintings.
There is also a fun way to tour the old house he designed, and there is also a space where you can experience calligraphy and coloring.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a small small museum in memorium of a really cool artist that practiced Western art for the first time in Korea! They hold some amazing small exhibits here. It's in a corner of 북촌 한옥 마을 and really close to the corner of 창덕궁. The neighborhood is beautiful with wonderful small galleries and studios. If you have the time, please check this place out!
