★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The birth place of first Empress, Myeongseung. She lived here poor with her mother until 8 years old. And she moved Seoul to Gamgodang after her father's death and lived until 16 years old. I can see Gamgodang because it was moved here from Seoul few years ago. She was married King, Gojong at age 16. She was very powerful and managed directly national matters with King. So that is why she killed and burned by Japan government. People could not know who she was because Japan distroyed everything to her. The place is very tidy and nice, a typical mistress house of korean nobles with little money.
