Hotel Marinabay Seoul

I’m here for quarantine. Room is okay sized for one person, bathroom door opens so it’s an awkward shimmy to get inside. The good: - Really nice view of the boat dock and marina, with the mall. Sunsets look great. - There are enough sockets for all the things I needed to do. - light system is good, the master switch is by the bed. - bathroom amenities are sufficient, comes with a blow dryer which was a pleasant surprise. The bad: - the bathroom door was broken so I couldn’t ever close it fully. - Bathroom fan did not work and the bathroom was stuffy the entire trip - the wifi is ridiculously bad, can’t get anything done. - air conditioning never dips below 23.5 degrees Celsius, and takes an incredibly long time to cool down the room. It is humid and hot, so it does make one feel gross. - the extra mattress with no bedding is a waste of space, I just use it to put my suitcases on top. Could have been so much more space if that was taken out. The ugly: - intercom system for delivering meals is extremely loud and plays so much scratchy feedback, any plans for waking up later than 7:45 are off the table - there are so many strands of long, black hair all over the room (I am blonde and have African hair, so it could never be mine) seems like the room was never vacuumed - extremely small closet space, I lived out of a suitcase my entire trip - everything in sight is dirty in some way. Chair is stained, bed is stained, lamp is stained. Walls are dirty and bubbled, window seems like it hasn’t been cleaned in months - The food was absolutely horrid. I got the worst case of diarrhoea for over a week in the facility and had to ask to be medicated. Cant order hot food from outside the facility. I’ve never felt so sickly In my life due to food. It’s cold, weird-smelling, and the same thing every day. It’s such a waste because they give you a plastic fork and spoon with every meal instead of just providing metal ones you can wash throughout your trip. So much food wasted because it’s impossible to eat. I understand it’s a quarantine facility, so we can’t expect much, but for a supposed four star hotel, it has to be one of the worst places I’ve ever stayed. I’m thankful I didn’t have to pay for it because I was required to stay there, but still would recommend people to rent airbnb or self quarantine in their apartments elsewhere.

Nice hotel for quarantine when coming to ??. This was my 2nd time here the first was 14 days and this trip was only one day.

I’ve stayed there for quarantine but the rating is dependent on the hotel it self not the quarantine as it could be unfair on the hotel to rate it low because of the quarantine. Amazing view The WiFi is really weak you cannot do FaceTime and watch Netflix at the same time. Towel wasn’t washed properly, it had booger on it..?? The room heating wasn’t reliable so the place was quite cold In terms of quarantine: If you drink lots of water then it’s not very good place to quarantine. You only get 2L a day Food wise it’s bearable but does repeat now and then and food is never even worm. Don’t know why but they give you thermometer but the medical team always checks temperature everyday (abit of a hassle)

I have stayed here in qurentine. Room is good. Centralized AC/heater works fine. What i like the most here is bathroom, very decent look. Western toilet is semi automatic system(u can select hot water for washing after u finish),press buttons given for other functions. U have catle heater, mini frisge, study light, tv and a safe with number lock. Wifi over here is very fast, you can watch online movies or download. Room is not that spacious but it is good for 1 or 2 persons. I could not use other amenities as this is covid time. Hope this post helped you. Have a good day☺️

Amazingly terrible!!!! Reading previous reviews there seems to have been a major decline in this place over time while it has been operating as a quarantine facility... The food is for the most part unpalatable, it is consistently cold, I would estimate that it has been allowed to cool since cooking for maybe ~2 hours, in any case a health risk. Amazingly, things that should be cold, such as yogurt or juice are somehow warmer than the food, incredible. The room itself isn't so bad, but as this is a quarantine facility and as such one could reasonably expect that at some stage a positive case stayed here... So why not clean it between guests? Usually cleanliness standards in Korean hotels are very good, here they have been forgotten. I am pretty sure vacuum cleaners are available in Korea, why not invest in one? Better still, use it... Covid is often used as an excuse for different things in recent times, I see the slack approach of managing this facility as another example.

Super cold in the winter. I am not sure if the heat doesn’t work or the insulation is not very good. Pillow has very un pleasant smell.

I'd like to add a positive suggestion to your medical team who are incharge for covid test. During my stay at your good hotel( 29.12.2021~2.01.2022) Room 1231., one of the medical stuff who was taking covid test sample is so stupid .She has no any proficiency regarding with her career and treat us very rude and arrogant way.Moreover she couldn't communicate in person. Because of her careless, I'm currently suffering truma inside my nose and still curing in the progress.So..could you please kindly take care of with this stuff not to be happend likewise me to others guests who stay at your good hotel.Thanks.

I have been to many hotels around the world but this must be a new record in poor wifi connection. Tried to work a bit but the connection disappeared, completely miserable. The room was nice but extremely dusty.
