It is a large temple with the Tripitaka Koreana, and you can have lunch if you go in time. There are also many hermitages around.

? World heritage ,Tripitaka National Treasure No. 32, World Heritage Site In search of'The Tripitaka Koreana' Hapcheon Haeinsa Temple, which holds the world's oldest Tripitaka Koreana. The path from Daegu to Haeinsa Temple, located deep in Mt. Gaya, was farther than I thought. Park your car and walk about 900m to arrive at the place where the Tripitaka Koreana is stored. The 81,258 wooden boards, the Tripitaka Koreana, were manufactured in October 1251 in Goryeo and are a World Heritage Site registered by UNESCO in December 1994. As you can see in the picture, access to the wooden boards is prohibited, and you can see the Tripitaka Koreana seen through the cracks of the wooden windows. I was admired by the amazing wisdom of the ancestors who created the vast wooden boards carved with the wishes of the protectorate and a natural storage room that could hold a national treasure and world heritage in the future. ※The number of stars only means that the journey to arrive was far from a subjective point of view. It has nothing to do with Haeinsa itself. Searching for the world heritage, 80thousands Tripitaka Haeinsa has the oldest block books, 80thousands Tripitaka in Hapcheon. I feel a little far to reach from Daegu to Hapcheon. After 900m walking, we can get to the safes saving the Tripitaka. 81,258 block books were made in Oct.,1251. They were certificated for world heritage in Dec. 1994. We can't approach to the treasures, but can see through the wood windows. I'm very impressed by the ancestors' wisdom to make vast amounts of the block books and to save them safely. ※There's no relation between the stars and the place's unspeakable value. It just expresses the subjective, long way to reach them.

I like the feeling of Mt. Gaya and I can't see the Tripitaka Koreana, but it's good to hear about children and history... It was a bit difficult to take the children with me as I had to park in the parking lot and walk up about 1km... To go to the temple, it costs 3.000 won for adults and 4.000 won for a car, but I think the price of a cafe inside the temple is too expensive...

In February 1976, my parents celebrated the graduation of elementary school. It is one of the places where I travel for 7 days nationwide. It is my first time to see the Tripitaka Koreana version, but I am very surprised.

Because there are not many people, the bus that was there every hour is up to 1 hour and 20 minutes apart
