★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A huge temple with huge buildings. The tour route goes through the hill and the main hall is on top. There's a bus terminal in the area and the direct bus to Seoul is available.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This temple is absolutely stunning and a must if you are travelling in south korea! The temple is huge and beautiful. Stay there at night and go up to the top to see a real gemstone ;)
We did the one night temple stay which is quite interesting. Medidating, tea time and talking with a monk is so interesting. Also the early morning consciousness walk to the top of the mountain was so impressive.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gounsa Temple is about 1.2km from the parking lot. The old forest road towards the temple is so beautiful. The place enables exposure and experience of the Buddhist culture.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was a beautiful temple to visit. Please do not expect young children to be okay (not complain) as they walk up towards the temple. Especially during the summer months. The temple is beautiful and really worth the sweat you will incur by hiking up to the temple. Wear comfortable shoes.
