★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Goyang Immigration office is located on the orange line (number 3) at Hwajeong Station. The Immigration office is on the 5th floor. It's a smaller office and not as busy as the bigger ones like in Seoul or Suwon. Nowadays you are supposed to make an appointment before you go (for E-2 Visa as that's what I have, I can't speak about anything else). It's really easy to make the appointment online, they give you a number and then you just walk in and wait for your number to come up on the screen. Staff are not very nice or helpful at this office but if everything is in order then it is usually quick. I'm sure their jobs are hard and they deal with some annoying people but I've been going to this one for a couple of years now and it's just really noticeable.
Remember to take cash with you for your revenue stamps. If you are getting an E-2 visa as of 2018 it is 60,000 won and you will need to go in to the waiting area then to your left you will see a door go through that and the desk right there at the front is where you get the stamp (it's actually a piece of paper now) from.
If you have been here a while and need a new ARC card it's another 30,000 won but you give that to the people at the immigration desk with your paperwork. You will also need a passport size photo if you are getting a new card.
If you are not sure about what you need (or where to go if you live in a different area) then you can call the hotline - 1345 and follow the directions for English (they do have options in other languages too) and you can ask any questions. They are very helpful.
