★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 아이들과 역사의 한곳을 더 알게 되어 좋았습니다 이곳은 볼거리가 크게 없지만 초등5을둔 부모로써는 좋은역사적 교육의 장소가됨 이순신장군의 슬픔을 기리기위해 장군을 따랐던 부하들이 세운비석 즉 '타루비' 라고 한다
 It was good to get to know one more place of history with the children. There is not much to see here, but it is a good historical education place for parents of 5 elementary school students.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 보물 제1288호. 높이 94㎝, 너비 59㎝, 두께 19㎝. 타루비는 이순신이 타계한 뒤 1603년(선조 36)에 좌수영의 군인들이 이순신의 덕을 추모하기 위하여 세운 비로, 현재 여수 통제이공 수군대첩비(보물 제571호) 바로 옆에 있다.
비신은 화문(花文)이 새겨진 방형대석 위에 세워져 있고, 그 위에 운문(雲文)과 연꽃봉오리가 새겨진 개석이 얹혀 있다. 비문에는 “좌수영 수군들이 통제사 이순신을 위하여 짤막한 비를 세우고 타루(墮淚)라 이름 한다. (이는) 양양(襄陽) 사람들이 양호(羊祜)를 생각하여 그의 비를 바라보며 눈물을 흘리곤 하였다는 데에서 취하였다.”라고 적혀 있다.
이 비는 일제강점기 때인 1942년에 전라남도 해남의 명량대첩비(鳴梁大捷碑)와 함께 서울로 운반되어 행방을 알 수 없게 되었다가, 광복 후 해남 유지들의 수소문으로 경복궁 근정전 앞뜰 땅 속에서 수습되어 지금의 위치에 다시 세워졌다. 타루비는 통제이공 수군대첩비와 더불어 보물 제571호로 지정되었으나, 1998년 분리되어 보물로 재지정되었다.
Treasure No. 1288. 94 cm high, 59 cm wide, 19 cm thick. Tarubi was built in 1603 (Yoon 36) by Yi Sun-sin after his death to commemorate the virtues of Yi Sun-shin, and is next to Yeosu-controlled Naval Forces (Treasure No. 571).
Bishin is built on a rectangular stone with engraved flower gates, and on top of it a dog stone engraved with a verse and lotus buds. The inscription says, “Left swimmers make a short rain for the controller Yi Sun-shin and call it Taru. It was taken that the Yangyang people used to look at his rain and shed tears. ”
The rain was transported to Seoul with the Myeongnyangdaebi in Haenam, Jeollanam-do in 1942, during the Japanese colonial period, and the whereabouts became unknown. Was rebuilt in its place. Tarubi was designated Treasure No. 571 along with the Controlled Naval Forces, but in 1998 it was separated and redesignated as a treasure.
