★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A fairly new museum. The museum seeks to preserve and showcase the archeological findings of Gongpyeong, and does so in a novel manner. Rather than displaying artifacts in glass boxes and landscapes in photos, the gallery is built above and around the archeological dig site, with glass floors that allow you to walk over the historical landscape of the Joseon dynasty. It also integrates activities and VR technology to enhance the learning experience for both young and old. Most of the informative panels come with English and Korean write-ups, so you will still be able to understand the historical learnings of the findings even if you are not well-versed in Korean. It isn't on the list of top museums to visit given its niche and how new it is, but is a hidden gem worth visiting even if you're not a history buff.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Surprisingly well made large museum in the basement of an office building. The historic value of the exhibits is questionable but it is highly relevant to architectural preservation. The 3D hanok tour is also quite impressive.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went here alone as my friends are playing at the Running Man Thematic Experience which is also within the Gongpyeong Area. The museum looks really cool! It has glass floors where you can see the excavated Gongpyeong sites while walking above it which is really, really cool. It's my first time to be in a museum like that! I've also learned a lot about the lives of Koreans during the Joseon Dynasty, and how the King monitors his constituents through proper trials and righteous justice. The entire museum is very beautiful and amazing! Very educational too!
A MUST-VISIT WHEN YOU'RE IN SEOUL!
P.S. Use the CITY MAPPER app if you're going around Seoul. It's more accurate that google maps.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Interesting musuem built on excavated sites. Besides talking about the history of the area, it talks about historical construction techniques, how the old cities are and the inhabitants in it. Free entry for all which is pretty cool.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a very philosophical place.
The atmosphere is calm and optimized for appreciation.
It's free, and you can be explained in languages such as English or Chinese as a reservation.
