★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cute little traditional village. Nice area, but kind of touristy. Some good restaurants in the area, and the walls of the village are decorated with interesting murals reflecting its traditional past.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you are interested in staying at a korean tranditional house , I strongly recommend you to check this place out. Gongju is a beautiful and historical city where you can see great scenery and a couple of unesco herritages. Houses are cozy and clean. It has pretty much everything what's needed to stay a night.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A tidy, organized, and clean village to experience traditional lodging in Gongjoo. Air conditioning is equipped, so you will have no problem during hot and humid Korean summer. It also seems they have a traditional heating system in each unit - a floor heater with wood oven. I am not sure how effective it will be, but it will surely be an interesting experience. During day time, visitors tour around the village, so your visit will be thoroughly affected by strangers. The village seems to be too modern to be called “traditional.” It is still convenient.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is an interesting place to walk through to see how Koreans used to live in a village setting. You only need 30 minutes to walk through the entire site. You can also rent homes in the village and stay in them overnight like a hotel to have a "traditional" Korean experience.

Roasted chestnuts were tasty too.
