★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 설악산 중턱 해발 600m 지점의 암벽 한 가운데 있는 금강굴은 경사가 급해서 굴까지는 곳곳에 설치된 부교와 콘크리트 계단을 이용해야 갈 수 있다. 굴의 크기는 7평쯤 되며, 굴 속의 토기 등 생활용구와 석불좌상으로 보아 고승이 도를 닦던 곳으로 짐작된다. 굴까지 오르면서 내려다 보이는 천불동계곡이 매우 아름답다.
 Geumganggul Cave is located in the middle of the rock wall 600m above the Mt. Seorak, so you can use the pontoons and concrete stairs installed all the way to the cave. The size of the oysters is about 7 pyeong, and it is assumed that Goseung used to polish the roads from everyday life tools and stone statues. The view of Cheonbul-dong Valley overlooking the cave is very beautiful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 비선대에서 약 600미터 정도 경사가 있는 돌계단+철제계단을 오르면 됩니다. 약 30분정도 걸렸던 것 같아요. 그런데 약 400미터 지점에 쉼 포인트가 하나 있거든요. 그곳에 서서 주위를 둘러보면 설악산의 장엄한 봉우리들이 나를 둘러싸고 내려다보고있는 듯한 느낌을 받을 수 있습니다. 아, 어릴 때 어르신들께나 들었던, 그리고 책에서나 보던 산의 정기를 받는다는게 이런 느낌이구나 싶었습니다. 서울의 산에서는 한 번도 느껴보지 못한 기분이었어요. 비선대까지 가셨으면 30분 더 시간 내셔서 금강굴도 보고 오시면 좋겠습니다. 다만 가파른 편이니 한 발 한 발 집중하셔서 조심히 올라갔다 오셔요. 행운을 빕니다.
P.s 금강굴에서 만나뵀던 스님, 이런 표현이 실례가 될 지 모르겠지만 굉장히 힙하십니다.
From Biseondae, you can climb the stone stairs + iron stairs with a slope of about 600 meters. I think it took about 30 minutes. However, there is a resting point about 400 meters away. Standing there and looking around, you can feel as if the majestic peaks of Seoraksan are surrounding you and looking down. Ah, I thought that this is what it felt like to receive the spirit of the mountain, which I heard only from the elders when I was a child, and that I only saw in books. It was a feeling I had never felt before in the mountains of Seoul. If you've been to Biseondae, I would recommend taking an extra 30 minutes to see the Geumgang Cave. However, it is steep, so concentrate on one step at a time and climb up and down carefully. good luck.
P.s The monk I met at the Geumganggul may be rude to say this, but he is very hip.

가파른 철계단을 오르기가 힘이 들어도
금강굴에서 보는 설악산 풍경은 와!! 하는 감탄사가 절로 나옵니다.
철계단이 없었을 때는 천길 바위 벼랑을 어떻게 올랐을까 상상이 되지 않습니다.

I can't imagine how I would have climbed the cliff of Cheongil Rock without the iron stairs.

급한경사도에 네발?로 올라갔지만 넘 좋아요.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 비선대에서 30분 정도 오르막길이 무척 경사져서 꽤 힘든 코스입니다.
그리고 바위를 타고 올라가는 계단은 무척아슬아슬해서 고소공포증이 있는 사람은 올라가기 힘들 거 같습니다.
하지만 일단 올라가면 설악산이 한눈에 내려다 보이는 절경을 감상하실 수 있습니다.
It is quite a difficult course as the uphill for about 30 minutes from Biseondae is very steep.
And the stairs going up the rock are very narrow, so it seems difficult for people with a fear of heights to climb.
However, once you climb up, you can enjoy a superb view overlooking Seoraksan Mountain.
