Atmosphere is good here. But there are differences when staff serving foreigners and locals. They always ignore us. They give the bowls and water automatically for the locals. They don't even serve us with the king oyster mushroom, which is actually free for customers ordered meats. Feels like foreigners are not welcomed here. Anyways, food is good especially pig skins.

Korean style pork belly bbq is really good and recommend. Also, various highball of good quality are served.

Pricy, but you can't get any of the cuts available here anywhere else. The waiters actually cook for you instead of the normal Korean Barbeque restaurants, where you have to cook all the meat yourself! The cuts of pork here are extremely fresh! If you can taste the difference between high and low quality pork, give this place a try!

Absolutely must visit. Be prepared to que but we'll worth it. Prefer 2nd floor tables where little more quiet. Good quality meat and fair prices for Michelin guide regular.

금돼지 means golden pig and I believe all the meat here is literally from one. It's hands down the highest quality pork in Seoul. Be sure to order more Moksal (목살), because the neck meat of the pork is so much better than the belly (삼겹살)! People flock from all over to consume a piece of this golden pig so get there early! I really recommend getting there and waiting before they open.

(Updated in Oct 2021) Geumdwaeji Sikdang (Gold Pig Restaurant) - Korean, Sindang, Yaksu 금돼지식당 - 한식, 신당동, 약수동, 장충동 Meal budget per person (without drinks) Category 1 (under 60000 KRW, 50 USD) The restaurant was established in year 2016 and has been awarded Michelin Bib Gourmand since year 2019. - It is a very good value restaurant for the money. - 0.3% domestic premium hybrid pigs (white+black+brown) are being provided, and therefore, texture is chewy and inside is juicy. Recommend: Pork Neck(눈꼿목살, 등목살) -> Grilled Pork Belly (본삼겹) - British Maldon sea salt also goes well with the meat. - By using patented clean briquettes which make safe to remove the harmful hydrogen sulfide, the unique fire taste of briquettes can be enjoyed. - As of April 2019, there are only two Santori highball machines installed in Korea. You can enjoy highball for a long time in a cool state because the ratio of highball and soda is set at 1:3 and come directly from highball machine. (recommend: Santori highball -> Hibiki highball -> Yamazaki highball) Good ingredients, contemporary ambience and top notch service are leading harmony to unison. The quality of the meat was really nice, so I want to visit this place again soon.

I visited here just because my friend who’s running meat business said this place has been consistently his top choice. But the line is very long, no appointment taken, you need to put your name down and wait outside to be called for your turn. Not many places to hang out around, wish they had better waiting space given the long wait. But the meat was great and worth it. Servers cook for you, def why tastes so much better.
