1567년(선조 즉위년) 명종 안장하고 강릉 조성
1575년 인순왕후 안장후 쌍릉으로 조성
인순왕후는 청릉부원군 심강의 딸로 1543년 경원대군과 가례를 올리고 1545년 명종이 즉위하면서 왕비로 책봉되었다.
매년 4월 4째 일요일 제향
Tomb of King Myeongjong and Queen Insoon of the 13th Joseon Dynasty
1567 (the year of King Seonjo's throne) buried Myeongjong and built Gangneung
1575 Constructed as a twin tomb after Queen Insun's Anjang
Queen Insun was the daughter of Shimgang, Cheongneung-buwon-gun.
The 4th Sunday of April every year

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The tombs of the physically weakest king MyeongJong and his Queen Shim. His mother, Queen MoonJeong was too powerful while he was king that MyeongJong has no known achievement. He died 8 months after his mother's death.

This is a tomb of a king and queen. It was a lovely spot. However, it was a very small fenced in area with not much to see.
