한	한지현 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 북촌한옥마을이 있는 계동은 주문모야고보신부가 첫 미사를 집전한 곳이고, 마지막 조선왕실이 세례를 받은 역사적 장소이다. 이런 지역의 관할성당인 가회동성당은 주문모야고보신부와 그를 모셔온 최인길마티아, 윤유일바오로, 지황사바와 첫 여회장, 평신도지도자인 강완숙골롬바 등 관련된 순교 복자가 10명이나 된다. 1949년 9월 설립되었고, 1954년 12월 성당이 준공되어 봉헌되었는데.... 현재의 성전은 2014년4월 봉헌되었다. Gye-dong, where the Bukchon Hanok Village is located, is the place where the first Mass was held by Gobo Jumunmo, and the last historical place where the Joseon Dynasty was baptized. The Gahoe Cathedral, which has jurisdiction over such a region, has 10 martyrs, including Priest Jumunmo Yagobo, Choi In-gil Matia, Yun Yu-il Paul, Ji Hwang Sabah, the first female chairman, and the lay leader Kang Wan-suk Golomba. It was established in September 1949, and in December 1954 the cathedral was completed and consecrated.... The present temple was dedicated in April 2014.

H	H YoOoN on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful church with impressive historical meaning. Sunday Mass was packed with people with sincere heart - mostly aged population. I understand their willingness of keeping this historical church well and Korean traditional way to show respect to God However, I was so disappointed to see the firmly locked gate when I went to the church to pray before starting a day. I stayed in a hotel next to the church but my excitement to stay next to the church ended up with great disappointment. Another disappointment is coming from their dress code written on their website. The website says do not wear casually. Of course, it would be great to wear nice suits to a church; but some people would not have any. In my church, we have people coming with smelly, dirty and ugly dress but their best cloth to meet God. They do not hesitate to sit the front, very first line but no one say any words to point out their clothes but we respect their sincere heart. I believe that Jesus came to save sinners, poor and Gentiles. He opens his arms to save us and bring hope regardless who we are. If a church closes its door to stop people coming in and select people, what is the church for? - so 3 stars

A	Ali Cho on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is the seventh spot of 'Seoul Pilgrimage' and the final spot of the route 1(which makes it a starting point of the route 2). I couldn't enter nor get a stamp as its door was closed. The church building is very modern but you can find some traditional features within it. The surrounding neighbourhood is very busy and noisy due to many tourists visiting Bukchon Hanok village right next to it.
