★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The doctor has one of the worst bedside manners I have ever experienced. When I described my illness, he said people usually don't get that around my age. I guess I shouldn't be sick since I don't fit the statistical average. And when I said that certain medicines don't work for me, he said then I must not have have that illness (with which I have been diagnosed and suffered from all of my adult life). He said he has many patients with that illness, and all of them respond favorably to the medicines that haven't worked for me. I guess he doesn't realize people don't come back to him if the pills don't work? Of course any of his patients come back that do return for prescriptions will say his medicine works. That's why they come back. Further, he seemed to insinuate that if the medicine didn't work for me, then I must not have the illness. Instead of admitting his limits as a doctor, he was dismissing me. He is one of those " know it all" doctors who really seem to need a healthy dose of humility. Too bad modern medicine doesn't have cure for arrogance!
