My wife requested a new Social Security card to fix her birthday however, they never fixed it ??

ONLINE APPOINTMENT RESERVATION IS DOWN AND LINE IS ALWAYS BUSY TRYING TO SET UP AN APPOINTMENT FOR 2 WEEKS NOW. I LIVE AWAY FROM SEOUL. IT SEEMS THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THEIR OWN PEOPLE. FIX YOUR SYSTEM PLEASE THERE ARE MANY OF US WHO ARE STRUGGLING JUST TRYING TO RENEW OUR PASSPORT.

Went there last Thursday for the renewal of my passport.Thank's for the staff they are nice and good.

I love how the staff in the embassy assist their clients. They very friendly and easy to talk too. The processing of documents is also fast and organized. The embassy has a cool atmosphere because they have a centralized aircon.

Korean customer service call was surprisingly unfriendly, low-toned and not willing to help customer at all! What is the point of their existence if they want me to figure out their service by myself? Thumbs down.

It's closed for lunch maybe... so we got there before 1pm... unfortunately, it had to open at 1pm and waited for the security officer's instructions... outside the gate on a hot midsummer day.

DOV: April 13, 2021 Tuesday (Appointment is a must to render any transaction/s) TOV: 2 PM (Be there on the appointment time and not earlier, because the reception area is small so the Korean staff is specific with the indicated time of appointment ??) RFV: Passport Renewal Surprisingly, the whole process took roughly around 30 minutes (back home the minimum processing time is usually atleast 1 hour depending on the number of applicants for that day) from the application/processing, payment, encoding, and photo & fingerprint processing. I guess, afternoon appointment/s or probably on that day or period, it was not too crowded, hence, the ease and pacing of the whole process. The staff were cordial especially the one in charge at the Passport Processing and also at the encoding as well. There was just a slight confusion at the encoding area. My initial thought was to wait to be called. There was no instruction that after paying one must go inside to submit the documents. There were posts, however, the one on the door says read before entering and the one written by the side of the door were instructions of documents to submit including for those wanting to have their passport/s delivered to their respective addresses and also the allowed grooming for the photo. Usually, there is a staff who acts as a client assistant within the area. In fairness to the staff, he was actually there when I got to the processing for my appointment but when I was already at the encoding area, the staff was not there. Luckily, another applicant who was waiting for his turn for the photo and fingerprint process at the encoding area noticed my documents at hand and was kind enough to fill me in on what I was supposed to do. Only then I was able to hand my documents. But another applicant, who actually came before me at the processing, but as I was submitting my documents for encoding, she was still filling information for the delivery form, had the same thought. And then the succeeding applicants, a man and then a woman also had the same expectation as I did initially, so we had to inform them of what to do so as to not waste time or get passed by another applicant. Maybe the embassy should add another post or instruction of what one must do after payment or even just post it on the door at the encoding that applicants must go in and submit the documents as instructed. But other than that everything was okay. And of course, even, with that tiny hiccup still it took less than an hour so I was still amazed at how fast the whole process was. However, due to the pandemic, releasing of passport will take around 2 months and will be notified via SMS once available.

Very helpful.. as of march 2022 they entertained walk in application applicants so don't be hesitate to ask the front desk.
