UMANG (Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance) is developed by Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and National e-Governance Division (NeGD) to drive Mobile Governance in India.
UMANG provides a single platform for all Indian Citizens to access pan India e-Gov services ranging from Central to Local Government bodies and other citizen centric services.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wanted to get a business visa to go to India and establish a branch office for my company to start to "Make in India".
But during the VISA interview (a woman officer in her 40's & her subordinate younger male officer), woman officer said "You keep your FDI with you." and "I don't want companies to start business in India. You come only to make money." And she proceeded to exit the room leaving me alone in the room!
All this because I had responded to one of her questions as follows. "India seems to have challenges with systems and that India needs FDI to continue to expand it's economic growth."
I was discriminated, mistreated and threatened that my application will be made into a 'Fraud case' all because of having an OPINION and expressing it as an ANSWER to her question.
I thought India was a democratic. I thought visa officials were supposed to be professionals. I thought diplomacy was about understanding each other, not discriminating on the basis of "opinion".
Now I am told to "wait an see" if I get a visa or not.
My company and my to-be-partner in India are flabbergasted.......
Is "Make in India" a real thing anyway if incoming foreign investment is told to "keep it to yourself"?
