★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 두암중은 1993년 개교한 공립중학교다. 광주 택지개발지구 중 가장 도로폭을 좁게 설계한 두암택지개발지구내에 있다. 학교가 위치한 지역이 다소 열악하고 특수한(?) 환경에도 불구하고 바로 옆 담장하나 사이로 있는 삼정초와 함께 지역내 꿈나무양성에 크게 공헌한 학교라고 할 수 있다.
 Dooam Middle School is a public middle school that opened in 1993. It is located in the Dooam Housing Site Development District, which was designed with the narrowest road width among the Gwangju Housing Site Development District. It can be said that it is a school that greatly contributed to nurturing dream trees in the region, along with Samjeongcho, which is located between one fence next to it, despite a rather poor and special environment.
