★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very nice national park in the middle of South Korea. The circular hiking trail passing the peak of Gwaneum-bong is around 10km and can be finished within 5 hours. The view on top of the mountain definitely worth the sweat! From KTX Daejeon Station, taking a public bus no 107 will take you directly to the entrance of the park. For those who enjoyed more relaxed, can stay one night at the nice pension villiage there!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful trails. Go in the fall when the leaves are changing. A bus will take you right to the national park. It's $3 for an adult to get in. Great trails that give you amazing views over the mountains.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a fantastic place to visit if you like nature and mountain climbing. There is a well marked trail the whole way to the top of the mountain from the entrance to the park. Being relatively fit, I'd say the climb was mildly challenging. There weren't any particularly difficult sections, but it tested my fitness a bit! The scenery (especially from the top) is worth waiting for, so I'd highly recommend going if you're staying in Daejeon or the area in general.
