1924년 4월 1일 대전공립제2보통학교로 개교하였으며
1946년 10월 5일 대전신흥국민학교로 개칭하였다.
1951년 3월 5일 야구부를 창단하였으며
1953년부터 1968년까지 대전천동, 문창, 대동국민학교를 분리하였다. 1990년 3월 1일 특수학급 2학급을 개설하였으며
1996년 5월 15일 병설유치원을 개원하였다.
1997년 9월 5일 실내 야구연습장을 신축하였으며
2000년 9월 29일 구강 보건실을 개소하였다.
2001년 3월 1일 대전광역시교육청지정 통일교육 시범학교로 지정되었다.
교훈은 ‘슬기롭게, 성실하게, 튼튼하게’이며
교목은 은행나무, 교화는 장미이다.
It is a public elementary school located in Sinheung-dong, Dong-gu, Daejeon.
It was opened on April 1, 1924 as Daejeon Public Secondary School.
On October 5, 1946, it was renamed Daejeon Shinheung National School.
The baseball team was founded on March 5, 1951.
From 1953 to 1968, Daejeon Cheon-dong, Munchang, and Daedong National Schools were separated. On March 1, 1990, a special class 2 was opened.
On May 15, 1996, an attached kindergarten was opened.
On September 5, 1997, an indoor baseball driving range was built.
On September 29, 2000, the oral health center was opened.
On March 1, 2001, it was designated as a demonstration school for unification education by the Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education.
The motto is 'wisely, faithfully, strong'
