★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Trekked a hilly road when I was at Suwon to see this 2 storeys tall golden giant Buddha. Its right hand forms the Jnana Mudra (meaning teaching), and its left hand forms the Vitarka Mudra (meaning intellectual argument/discussion). Devotees approach the statue from the bottom, through a small quiet shaded courtyard with pretty paper lanterns before reaching a small entrance to the temple at the base of the statue.
