월드컵경기장 500개에 달하는 약 1,000만 제곱미터 규모로 조성되었으며,
V자 형태로 이웃 삼양목장을 가볍게 감싸면서 해발 1,157미터 대관령 최고봉인 선자령과 붙어 있습니다.
2014년 9월 개방된 하늘목장은 말, 염소, 양 등과 자연을 직접 체험하는 국내 최초의 ‘자연순응형’ 체험목장이자,
400여 마리 젖소, 100여 마리 면양, 40여 마리 말들이 ‘자연 생태 순환 시스템’에서 살아가는 대한민국 대표 기업목장이기도 합니다.
하늘목장은 자연 그대로의 모습을 추구합니다.
목장체험은 울타리 안에서 자연을 직접 느낄 수 있도록 설계되었고,
비좁은 축사 안에서 사육되는 방식 대신 방목과 현대식 로봇 시스템을 활용해 자연섭리 그대로 생육되도록 조성되었습니다.
