Busiest Costco in the world. Faint hearted should go to elsewhere. Consider Ilsan Costco.

I have visited Costco in all 42 contiguous states and France. So I was excited at the chance to visit this location in Korea. I have read that it was the largest location in the world. This location encompasses multiple floors. Parking was a nightmare. Even on a weekday that should have been slow. Parking spaces are wider than normal spaces in Korea. But not as wide as the ones in the US. This store is extremely busy. I can’t imagine how busy it gets during peak hours and weekends. But like everything else, Korean staff are very efficient at moving things along. Checkout was a breeze and they had staff to place you in order of exit by which floor you parked on when getting on the elevator with your full carts. If you have heavy carts, they will direct you to go to the elevator from the escalator. Prices are comparable to the US for items that exist in both locations. Kirkland brands are very competitively priced to other Korean brands. Obviously there are Korea exclusive items. Try the food court to see what tastes better than the equivalent items in the states. I was pleasantly surprised by the hot dog as that tasted better than ones in the states. I like Costco and I look forward to visiting more international locations. It is cash only and only Hyundai Visa card. At one time they accepted Samsung card but they don’t anymore. I bought close to a thousand dollars worth of stuff to treat my extended family and had to use 50,000won bills. They had a bill counting machine so I handed them a wad to count rather than counting out myself and holding up the fast moving line. Layout can be very confusing because of the floors. Maybe if I live here I will have it better configured for shopping. But I never have issues when visiting single floor locations. Pricing for many items are much better than most markets. You just have to buy in bulk. I don’t feel that is the case anymore in the US, especially in suburban sites. Inner city ones almost always have better prices than any local markets. I didn’t see a sign for no photography, but I was kindly told by a staff to not take any photos. I stopped right away but I really wanted to show my friends the food court menu items so those are the pictures I have attached. I am single so I am not sure how often I will shop here if I move to this location. But buying items for family gathering allowed me to try out buying a cartful. Transporting goods would be hard without a car as almost everything is bulkpack. Water was cheap (almost 1/3 price) but my cart was too full for me to buy more.

The biggest Costco in Korea. This brunch has many choices of stuff more than other Costco. Not that many people on weekdays. In Korea not much choices of cheese like the USA. The Indian Chicken Curry with rice better taste with the really hot.

Amazing place for shopping. You can buy almost most of the homewares and food in low price. They sell good quality of products always. In addition, Refund is available always. Two thumbs up.

Today I went to the COSTCO Yangjae Tire Center. They were having a promotion and so it was very crowded. Today was a Friday and we got to the shop at 10am but ended up waiting for 90 minutes just to get registered. After a short consultation and choosing the tires, we were told that the car would be ready around 9pm due to so many other cars before us. We could leave with the car and then I brought the car back to the Tire Center at 5:30. I did some shopping and got a phone call at 8pm saying the car is ready. All the staff are very friendly and courteous.

1.Good qualification of commodities with reasonable price through whole sales marketing as reputed in public. 2. However, Average 15~20% increased price in comparison with 1st quarter of this year. 3. Prices of vegetable /tropical fruits is not competitive since last year. 4. Especilly Insufficient hand /spraying alcohol bottles for COVID19 of which have not being shown at any display place except eating place on 1st floor. 5. Magement systems for protection of COVID19 are looked to more loose than other markets of Lotte/E -mart , etc. 6.very limited parking space in the light of the No.1 sales amount among all their stores in Asean area except China.

Huge and neatly organized when compared to US locations. I would highly recommend going there very early in the AM and on weekdays, otherwise it takes ages to even get close to their parking lot. Staff is nice though sometimes hard to find. Produce, meat, and fruits are fresh. It does carry alcohol (both hard liquor and wines)!
