★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The atmosphere of coffee Hangyabang is fantastic. The cafe is hidden in the small alley. Old traditional style of design, is kind of interesting to visit. The coffee and desserts are standard. If you want they also offers various teas, juices or hot chocolate.

From the alley (keep looking - it’s the larger one and you take the bend in it to find the shop) to the door, decor, coffee, music, and option of an English menu. Even the extra space across the alley And upstairs is fantastic! Another world from the skyscrapers. Keep looking for this shop - my friends and I hit 20-25 coffee shops and this was a favorite!!! Must experience!

This retro, literally in the hole, café is the perfect spot to catch up with friends over the weekends, though it's getting more and more popular these days and hard to get seats. The drinks are quite usual, I feel, but the container (mugs and cups) can be quite unique. Overall, 4 stars for the unique-ness, great pastry and atmosphere, but -1 star for the difficulty to get seats, noise (when it gets crowded) and the inconvenience of getting drinks and pastry/cakes from different place/counters.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hidden inside a very narrow alley, I bet most of you will walk pass it without realizing there is a cafe within. You might want to try their filter coffee.
One of the best and you still get to choose from 3 types of coffee beans. Best place to immerse yourself in the busy Seoul with a nice coffee and background music. They have English menu and speaks good english.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Finding this place through the alleys is half the fun. It took us a minute, but we finally did it. The restaurant only had a few people around 3 pm and the cakes taste as good as they look. They ranged from about ₩6,000-₩8,000 with some other baked goods to choose from. We both had a maple latte, but they just tasted like a regular café latte. Overall a great place to chit chat and take in the artsy-fartsy vibe.
