★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Vurt NEVER disappoints! My #1-fave-go to underground club/venue for the deepest minimal techno & tech-house in Asia (even tops Tokyo scene for legit/new/fresh/burgeoning techno). No pretense, all there in the dark to take in the beat/sound. Can tell/feel that the DJs letting lose & also enjoying Vurt’s energy.
Impressive roster of “international”/Euro, Korean, and Japanese DJs/producers. I’ve been there alone & with friends, and always counting down to return. Really, I’ve even taken a weekend trip from japan just to go to Vurt and see an awesome act/set. Go, techno on!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Disclaimer: was a Monday, but given the reviews I read and this place being market as a techno place, showed up and just a few people, no dj and the weirdest most boring ambient music I’ve ever heard. Bartender was a nice guy but seemed pretty ambivalent. Would try again on a weekend I guess but a city this big and marketed as the best techno/house spot in the city you would at least expect that kind of music would be on, even if it was just Spotify....

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The ambience is like no other. If you want to listen to techno in a Berlin-style club while you're still in Asia, this is the spot. Drinks are fairly priced, cover is about normal for the area, and music is top-notch. Smoking is allowed on the dance floor but not art the bar.
