잠깐 들려 구경할만하다. 굳이 찾아가기 보단 혹시 주변에 강원랜드, 하이원리조트 등 들리는 길이라면 방문 도장정도 찍을 수 있는 곳.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 제일 높은 곳에 있는 역이라 해서 가봤는데 진짜 높더라구요! 눈오면 차로 못올라갈것같아요. 그냥 와봤는데 딱히 볼건없어요. 공기는 맑고 하늘은 푸르고 산이 많고.. 기분은 좋았어요ㅎㅎ
I went to the station at the highest point and it was really high! I can't go up by car when it snows. I just came in. I have nothing to see. The air was clear and the sky was blue and the mountains were so good.

옛날 서울 가던 길 이곳을 지나셨던 할아버지는
옛 상념에 빠져 긴 시간 침묵하셨습니다.

경제논리에 탄광 노동자의 인권은 철저히 유린되었던 유신정권 시절 태백의 무연탄을 가득 실은 증기기관차들이 바쁜 숨을 내뺃으며 이역을 힘들게 올라 왔겠지.
TV에서 보았던 추전역을 검륭소 찿아가다 득템하듯 둘러 보았다.
강원랜드 수직갱에서 느꼈던 감정이 되살아나는 묘한기분.
살아오며 참 빚진 사람이 많네...
한번 둘러 보세요.
코로나 시대에 커피집은 문을 닫은것 같고요.
편의시절은 좀 궁색하지만...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 열차덕후가 아니라면 일부러 찾아 갈 필요는 없겠지만 태백 근처 지나는 길이라면 시간내서 한 번 들러볼 가치는 있음. 타인과의 대화시 소재가 하나 늘어남 “너 추전역 가봤냐? 우리나라에서 젤 높은 역이야”
p.s 역무원분들도 친절하심
You don't have to go there intentionally unless it's a train, but if you're passing near Taebaek, it's worth taking a break. When talking to others, the subject matter increases. “Have you been to Chujeon Station? It ’s the highest role in Korea ”
