★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 청룡이 하늘로 올라갔다고 하여 청룡산(靑龍山)으로 불리었다.
비슬산에서 북동으로 뻗은 청룡지맥은 청룡산[793.1m]의 이름을 딴 것으로, 대구광역시 달서구·남구·수성구와 가창면의 경계를 이루고 있다. 청룡산은 비슬산지에서 북동쪽 방향으로 산성산(山城山)[653.3m], 앞산[658.7m], 대덕산(大德山)[546m] 등으로 이어진다. 청룡산은 넓은 의미의 앞산에 속하는 산으로 앞 산괴 과운데 가장 큰 바위 능선이 절벽을 이루며, 큰 성벽처럼 뻗은 경치는 앞산의 웅장한 장관 가운데서 으뜸이다. 이 능선은 백악기 말에 분출·관입한 안산암질 각력암으로 이루어져 있어 침식에 대한 저항력이 크기 때문에 비교적 높은 산지를 이루고 있다. 청룡산에서 해발 고도 700~800m 이상의 정상부 주변에는 경사가 완만한 고위 평탄면을 이루고 있다.
대구광역시 인근 산중에는 해발 고도가 상당히 높은 편에 속하지만 대구시 달서구에 치우쳐 있고, 앞산의 유명세에 가려 잘 알려지지 않았다. 그러나 정상을 오르기 전 배방우를 비롯해 몇몇 곳에서 대구 시내를 조망하는 경관은 어느 곳에 비해도 손색이 없다. 산의 정상에는 나무가 우거져 있어 조망은 별로 좋지 않다.

The Blue Dragon Valley, which extends from Biseulsan to the northeast, is named after the Blue Dragon Mountain [793.1m] and forms the boundary between Dalseo-gu, Nam-gu, Suseong-gu and Gachang-myeon in Daegu Metropolitan City. Cheongnyongsan Mountain leads from the Biseulsan Mountain to the northeast, leading to Mt. Mountain (653.3m), Apsan (658.7m), and Daedeok Mountain (546m). Cheongnyongsan is a mountain belonging to the broad meaning of Apsan, and the largest rocky ridge forms a cliff in the middle of the front mountain mass. This ridge consists of andesitic keratinous rocks erupting and penetrating at the end of the Cretaceous Period, making it a relatively high mountainous area because of its high resistance to erosion. In Cheongnyongsan Mountain, a high-level flat surface with a gentle slope is formed around the summit above 700 to 800m above sea level.
Among the mountains near Daegu Metropolitan City, the altitude is quite high, but it is biased to Dalseo-gu, Daegu, and is not well known due to the popularity of Apsan Mountain. However, before climbing to the top, the scenery overlooking downtown Daegu in several places, including Bae Bang-woo, is comparable to anywhere else. There are trees on the top of the mountain, so the view is not very good.
