인적도 드물고 법당 가운데 입구에 앉아서 아미타불이 바라보는 풍광은 싱쾌하다.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 강원도 삼척시 미로면에 있는 사찰.천은사는 이승휴가 한민족의 대서사시인 제왕운기를 저술한곳.창건역사는 경덕왕17년(738년).임금의 은혜를 입었다해서 천은사로 불림.넓은주차장 화장실도 잘 갖추어짐.정상에는 50개의 우물이 있어 쉰움산이라는 이름이 붙여진 등산로의 초입.

38번도로를 따라가면 이정표가 나온다
조용하고 한적하다
미로정원이라고 그 아래마을에 인공적인 시설로 조성해 놓았으나 조금 더 오르면 있는 천은사가 만번 우위다
현판글씨가 좋고 요사채 기둥이 자연그대로다
종루에 앉을 수 있는 통나무 의자가 몇개 있다
울창한 나무숲을 가진 계곡이 시원하다
고려때 문신 이승휴의 집이 바로 아래에 사당으로 있다
어디 알려진 관광지보다 훨씬 쾌적한 쉼터다
간단한 도시락을 싸가지고 가서 나무그늘 아래 책을 읽기에 최적인 곳이다
산비탈 바위가 떨어질 위험이 있어 잠시 임시법당으로 부처님을 옮긴 상태에 방문했다
