★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 착량묘는 경남 통영시 당동에 있는 조선 중기의 사당. 경상남도 기념물 제13호.1599년에 수군들과 지방민들이 충무공의 충절을 후세에 전하고자 착량 언덕에 세운 사당이다.
이순신(李舜臣)이 노량해전에서 순국하고 전란이 끝난 뒤 1599년(선조 32)에 수군들과 지방민들이 공의 충절을 후세에 길이 전하고자 착량언덕에 세운 사당으로 이순신사당의 효시이다.
처음에는 초당을 지어 이순신의 초상을 모시고 춘추로 제사를 지냈는데 이 곳을 지나는 상선들도 빠짐 없이 제사를 모셨다 한다. 1877년(고종 14)이순신의 10세손인 통제사 이규석(李奎奭)이 기와집으로 중수하여 착량묘라 이름하고, 지방 자제들의 교육을 위하여 경내에 호상재(湖上齋)라는 서재를 지었다.
1951년 재단법인 충렬사에서 관리하게 되었으며, 매년 음력 11월 19일 공이 순국한 날에 기신제(忌辰祭)를 모신다.
Chakryangmyo Shrine is located in Dang-dong, Tongyeong-si, Gyeongsangnam-do. Gyeongsangnam-do Monument No.13, a shrine built on Chakryang Hill in 1599 by the naval forces and local people to convey the integrity of Chungmugong to future generations.
Yi Sun-shin (李舜臣) died in the Naval Battle of Noryang and, after the war ended, in 1599 (Seonjo 32), the naval forces and the local people built it on the hill of Chakryang to convey the integrity of justice to future generations.
At first, a chaplain was built to enshrine the portrait of Yi Sun-sin and celebrated the spring and autumn rites. In 1877 (14th year of King Gojong), Lee Gyu-seok, a ten-year-old son of Yi Sun-sin's ten-year-old son, rebuilt it as a tiled house and named it Chak-ryang-myo.
It was managed by the Chungryolsa Foundation in 1951, and Kishinje (忌辰祭) is enshrined every year on the day of his death on November 19th of the lunar calendar.
