As we reminisced about the faded Korean tea culture of the past, we began dreaming of creating a ‘new culture' that is more in fitting with today’s modern sensibility and needs, while still preserving and protecting its fundamental spirit and beauty.
Our main method in achieving this dream is to abandon what is the most familiar and popular. Instead of adding sugar to sweeten a drink, for example, we looked to our past,to our very own traditional sweet, ‘dalgona', and decided to use that to sweeten our drinks. We bring in fragments of 'our past' that are slowly fading away, no matter how small or insignificant they may seem. While other cafes are busy serving the same old coffee and baked goods that have dominated Korea's cafe scene, we serve one-of-a-kind traditional Korean desserts made with our own vision and philosophy, such as 'Dalgona Milk Tea,' and a modernized version of Makgeolli Sponge Cake.
In this way, we look back on our past and our cultural legacy, and proudly present it in a whole new way to our customers. We model our products on Korea's history, society, and culture, and present it in a new package for the world to see.
