1961년 5월 1일 개교하였으며
1981년 3월 1일 병설유치원을 개원하였다.
1994년 3월 20일 어린이TV 방송국을 설치하고
1995년 9월 1일 식당 개관 및 전교생 급식을 실시하였으며
1996년 10월 25일 도지정 통일교육 시범학교로 지정되었다.
1998년 11월 10일 시교육청지정 효교육 시범학교로,
2000년 11월 9일 도교육청지정 정보화 시범학교로 운영 공개하였으며 2003년 9월 1일 신관유치원이 단설로 독립되었다.
교목은 은행나무, 교화는 장미이다.
충청남도 공주시 신관동 304-9번지에 있다.

On March 1, 1981, an annex kindergarten was opened.
On March 20, 1994, a children's TV station was established.
On September 1, 1995, the restaurant was opened and meals were provided for all students.
On October 25, 1996, it was designated as a demonstration school for unification education by the province.
On November 10, 1998, as a model school for filial piety education designated by the City Office of Education,
On November 9, 2000, it was opened and operated as an informatization pilot school designated by the Provincial Office of Education, and on September 1, 2003, the new Kindergarten was established as an independent school.
The arboretum is a ginkgo tree, and the edification is a rose.
