★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you want to see a fiesta on your plate go to ¡Ay Mamita!, located in the Gaeksa area of Jeonju. This authentic Mexican restaurant tries to replicate the flavors and atmosphere of a summer day on the gulf within the heart of Korea. With a simple menu comprised of Tacos, Quesadillas and Chilaquiles among a few other dishes, you’ll have options but are not overwhelmed by them. Their cocktail menu has staples like Tequila an d Dos XX but it also has interesting drinks like Paloma or Michelada. ¡Ay Mamita! is comprised of three seating areas (two indoor/ 1 outdoor) so it is suitable for groups of any size. The Mexican owners are laid back so next time you are in Jeonju, grab a Margarita, order some Nachos and enjoy the Spanish tracks played all day.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pretty spot on Mexican food in Korea. The waitress spoke perfect English and Korean and was awesome. The chef did a fantastic job and the co-owner was incredibly kind, spoke good English, Spanish and Korean. I personally didn’t drink since I was driving, but the folks that did really enjoyed their margaritas and their house made tequila. We had the Pastor Tacos, the Beef tacos and the Volcanes with pastor. Everything was really good. The rosa salsa was a little spicy and really well done. The pico was too chunky for my liking but to have that as my complaint. Shoot.
I loved it and will try it again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excelente place with a very Mexican atmosphere. The food was delicious. They have volcanos(tostadas), quesadillas, and tacos. We tried all of them and were very satisfied. It’s vegetarian friendly and the service is very accommodating. Some of the staff are Mexican so that gives a better experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As an American in Korea, the last thing I wanted to eat was Mexican food, but Ay Mamita was such a pleasant surprise with a great location, great atmosphere, good service, AMAZING food, and tasty cocktails. It was unexpected taste of the West and I have been back multiple times!
